The white sandy beach is dotted with a Dive Shop, a few little restaurants/bars. The main attraction is Foxy’s! A sweet spot featuring bright blue wooden tables with maps lacquered into the tops, sandy floors, and a ceiling and pillars utterly covered with memorabilia from visitors over the 40 years it’s been open.
Foxy’s came alive at night with a dj, packed house, bbq – in hindsight we should’ve joined them as it sounded like quite the party! We may return when our visitors arrive.
A most brilliant feature is a small boat that sides up to yours in the morning (if you’re on the deck, the boat is there). It’s from Christina’s Bakery in the marina (another Great Harbour attraction) and delivers fresh baked goods to your boat every morning. We indulged in carrot cake, blueberry muffins and apple turnovers. How insanely amazing is that – a bakery boat that makes deliveries!
We spent hours on the beach while the kids dug holes in the sand and played in the water. We grabbed some groceries at Rudy’s and headed back to the boat.
*background: there are only two mirrors on the boat and both are at adult height. When we enjoyed real showers at the Marina at Leverick Bay, Bear looked in the mirror and said, "whoa, I look like a freak of nature!".
