After returning from Anegada, we spent another two days sailing around Jost Van Dyke and anchoring at night in Great Harbour (where Foxy's is) while waiting for our friends. One of their flights was cancelled due to mechanical issues and their arrival was pushed back a day.
We decided to check out Sandy Cay - a small deserted island about 6 acres in size and has a trail that takes about 20 minutes to walk from its South beach to the Northern rocky cliffs and back again in full circle. It's a beautiful little island that used to be owned by Laurance Rockefeller, but was turned back over to the BVI gov't after his death.

there's our boat in the background!
We enjoyed a delicious bbq buffet dinner at Foxy's one night and stayed for a few drinks, the music and dancing. We knew we'd hear it from the boat, so we figured we might as well stay and join in the fun!
The Capt. also dove on an old metal schooner wreck that lies off the Southwestern tip of JVD. We were unable to find out any info about this ship but a small, non-descript mooring ball bouncing in the water leads to its discovery!

Tomorrow morning we'll head to Soper's Hole (West End of Tortola) to meet John & Marisca. Looking forward to spending some time with them!
