Under the Sea
(by the Capt. - we are land-locked for a bit while this crazy weather rolls through, so here's another post)
During every trip to the Caribbean that we’ve been on, I have spent countless hours snorkeling and diving in the salty waters in search of marine life that I haven’t seen before. The whole family has been enjoying the sea creatures but Max has definitely become my snorkeling buddy! We have ventured out to rougher waters and stronger currents in search of new sightings. During the past few days we have seen spiny lobster, stingrays, an eagleray, turtles, fish galore and we have fun flipping over the countless conch shells and watching them turn themselves back over.
For the scuba diving, I decided to bring most of my own scuba diving gear and rent bottles/weights down here, so that I can pop in and out of the water at my leisure and avoid the hefty prices of chartered dives. Yes, I go against the traditional recreational safety measures of diving with a buddy but I feel confident with the extra equipment I have with me, along with my commercial experience in diving alone. In any event, here are a few pics from Under the Sea.
